The Simple Republic

The Idea

Complexity is where power hides. The tax code is 70,000+ pages because every page is a place to bury an advantage someone paid for. Healthcare billing is incomprehensible because confusion is profitable. Bills run thousands of pages because no one can object to what no one can read.

The Simple Republic is built on one principle: a government its citizens can fully understand is a government its citizens actually control. Every system is redesigned so there is nowhere to hide anything — no loopholes, no fine print, no shadows.

The Smooth Tax

Every federal and state tax is eliminated — income, sales, corporate, payroll, capital gains, estate, all of it — and replaced by one smooth marginal curve on Total Annual Economic Gain: wages, capital gains (realized and unrealized), loans against assets, gifts, inheritance. Every dollar that enters your life.

• No brackets, no cliffs, no deductions, no loopholes. The formula fits on an index card.
• Every American pays less than today — verified against real W-2 data — and taxes drop further every year for six years.
• A $50K worker's bill falls from ~$14,000 to $7,680. A $76B billionaire gain pays 93%. The curve is gentle where life is hard and steep where wealth is extreme.
• Zero corporate tax. Starting a business is a name and an address.

The Smooth Tax is an open framework — any party can adopt the curve and build different policies on it. This platform is one implementation.

The Identity

This platform will be called socialist by the right and fascist by the left. It is neither. It is the belief that a strong nation takes care of its own people first, enforces its laws without apology, and operates in plain sight — simple enough that any citizen can read the tax formula, the price list, the budget, and the law itself.

Simple isn't small. Simple is honest.
